What's involved in a search?

A search and rescue mission doesn't "JUST" happen. There is a lot of effort involved in both training exercises and actual search missions. It all begins with a call to duty and progresses systematically from there. Whether it is an actual search after a call from JRCC (Joint Rescue Coordination Centre) or a training mission, it begins with a mission briefing to all involved from the search coordinator. This short video demonstrates some of the activities that take place between the initial briefing and the de-briefing after the mission.
